Tea with E: The Details

When the time came to begin planning our second annual Tea With E, I think the first question on everyone’s mind was “How do we create an even more fabulous experience for our guests”?

I think that’s the first question on just about anyone’s mind when creating an event but when that event is for the Wedding industry’s finest, the pressure is really on.  Our guests have devoted their careers to creating perfect days for couples to share their love and exchange their vows – long hours spent in a labor of love and they are so deserving of an afternoon with no need for anything but to relax, enjoy and laugh among old friends and new. Creating this for them is our vision and so, we set to brainstorming with Raye C Marketing’s Rhonda Couchigian, who, like us, is never out of ideas.

When we began we knew a few things:

1. This year’s Tea With E needed to top last year.

2. Only the best would do.

Last year, Tea With E was a Mad Hatter inspired event and this year, we thought a proper English Afternoon Tea would be perfect! Since no one knew the date of the Royal Wedding when we began, the fact that the two coincided was some sort of cosmic alignment of fabulous events.

We knew we couldn’t bring our vision to fruition alone and so we sought the industry’s finest, most creative vendors to help us breathe life into our creation.  We love it when everything comes together seamlessly and once the Langham Pasadena was decided as the venue, our perfect team fell into place. Revelry provided furniture, décor and the amazing feather backdrop. Linen and chair covers by Wildflower, Images by Lighting made everything shine, Marianne Lozano Photography captured the detailed photos and Cean One Photography the portraits, chiavaris were provided by Classic Party Rentals and our guests’ experience started off with a Save the Date by Raye C Marketing and invitations by Creative Works Designs. Brenna Whitaker’s brand of Jazz kept the room full of music and Brandt Jacobus enchanted our guests with his Spanish Guitar during the cocktails and after tea.

E created a lovely Buffet de Fleurs, which ended up being a big hit. The planners were able to choose flowers that complimented their beautiful outfits and our tic-tock artists crafted gorgeous head pieces for them. They loved it!

The smiles, "oohs" and "ahhs" from our guests made this day even better than perfect, a perfection that would not have been possible without this incredible team.

A Tea With E Sneak Peek

Today, tic-tock is kicking off the Royal Wedding weekend with our fabulous guests at the gorgeous Langham, Pasadena.  Months of planning, design and hours upon hours of bringing those visions to life all come together this afternoon at Tea With E.

Yesterday, while we were in the midst of everything at the shop, photographer Kris Kan stopped by and shot a few photos so we could offer you a peek into things to come…

tic-tock is Loving the Langham!

Built in 1906 and originally called the Hotel Wentworth, The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is one of the most luxurious hotels in Southern California. While many of Southern California’s fine hotels provide spectacular ocean views, the Langham boasts of the most picturesque view of the gorgeous San Gabriel Mountains you’ll find in any suite. Over the years, we’ve had the great pleasure of creating floral designs for events at the Langham that are as beautiful as the hotel itself and very soon, tic-tock will be hosting an event of its own on the Langham’s exquisite property.

tic-tock With Fancy That! in Bride & Bloom

We are so excited to be in the current issue of Bride & Bloom for Bahareh and Shahriar’s wedding with Fancy That! Events. We always love working with Christine and had an especially wonderful time with this couple. Everything about them was so sweet and charming, their joy was infectious and – if you haven’t been to the Langham, Pasadena – you should make sure to check it out. You can peruse some of the images by Duke Photography here, but pick up the latest issue of Bride & Bloom to see them all and read about the details that went into this gorgeous affaire.
