Meaningful Bouquets

Creating a personalized bouquet is as important as choosing the perfect dress. When thinking about which flowers to choose for your bouquet, it's important to go with what you love and what complements your color palette, but you can also personalize your bouquet further by including flowers that have a special meaning just for you and your husband to be.

A Calla Lily symbolizes magnificence and beauty, the Gardenia symbolizes purity, sweetness and secret love and hydrangea conveys heartfelt emotions. The orchid is a symbol of exotic beauty and also stands for refinement, thoughtfulness and mature charm. The beloved Peony symbolizes shyness and compassion, but it also represents a happy life, happy marriage, good health and prosperity!

Spanish Hills Country Club Wedding

This wedding with Fancy That! Events at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo was so beautiful in red, white and black. The bridal bouquet was rich and velvety and consisted of lovely roses, callas and berries in deep reds with black accents. The outdoor evening ceremony was held in the evening with a lush white aisle runner of rose petals and a chuppah draped with white fabric and adorned with white flowers. 

The reception was decorated in all red and black with tall, rose centerpieces with silk linens and a single rose atop each lace-wrapped silk napkin. Red roses even hung from the Spanish wrought iron chandelier above the shiny black dance floor where guests danced the night away.

Guess 30th Anniversary Parties: Part 1

We recently had an opportunity to design the florals to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Guess. The designer jean brand threw two anniversary parties to celebrate 30 years in the business and invited Guess employees and friends.

The first party was a rave-style event complete with fashion show and DJ Tiesto, playing a long set of electronic dance music. The party went into the wee hours and guests enjoyed viewing mock storefronts featuring Guess boutiques from years past. Enjoy this amazing photos by the very talented Marianne Lozano and stay tuned to the blog for Part 2 of the Guess 30th Anniversary Parties!

Fashion to Floral Part 5: Matthew Williamson Fall 2012

Matthew Williamson's Fall 2012 collection focuses on clean lines, fresh pastels and futuristic feminine menswear. He's added just the right amount of sparkle and sequined embellishment and we're loving the long-sleeve and layered organza tops. Matthew Williamson has a talent for creating flattering cocktail dresses and these are great for fall in patterned jackquards and a little peek-a-boo slit at the sides. We've paired up some of our new tic-tock floral arrangements with this fabulous fall collection. Enjoy!

ABC-OC Event at The St. Regis

We designed the florals for this modern tabletop in a chic color palette of hot pink, gold, orange, black and white. Revelry Event Designers were also there to put their magic touch into the design. The event, hosted by the Association of Bridal Consultants and the St. Regis Monarch Beach, was a trend-setting fashion show and decor inspiration showcasing the latest trends by designers like Carolina Herrera!

Guests were lucky enough to sample incredible food, cocktails and sweets made by the St. Regis,  Itty Bitty Sweets, Jay’s Catering, Hollywood Candy Girls, Simply Sweet Apples and A Wish and a Whisk. Burberry Prorsum is so steadfastly English and concurrently modern London. We love it! The runway show feels very English country with Victorian silhouettes and added touches of humor, velvet and belts tied in a pretty bow. The patterns and color palette are perfect for autumn with tweed, plaid and stripes in grey, brown, teal, purple and mustard. Edun is truly the epitome of beauty with a conscience. The global fashion brand's aim is to bring positive change through it's trading relationship with Africa. In 2007, Edun launched a division called Edun Live, a t-shirt business which is completely grown and sewn in Africa. The company strives to increase trade with the continent and it's goal is to have 40% of it's fashion collection produced there by 2013; providing trade and visibility for local businesses.

Fashion to Floral Part 2: Dolce and Gabbana Winter 2013

Dolce and Gabbana's beautifully rich Winter 2013 line presents a collection of Sicilian Baroque styles featuring lovely embroidery, florals, cherubs and angels. We love that it's traditional and modern at the same time in a color pallette of white, black, gold, nude and beige with pops of red, orange and shades of lavender.

Dolce and Gabbana is still incorporating quite a bit of lace into the new designs and we're still loving it! The line's accessories include Capodimonte-style flowers, cherub earrings, headbands and small combs decorated with stones and embroidery and pumps, ankle boots and knee-high lace-ups. The Miss Sicily and Dolce bags are gorgeous and also incorporate embroidered fabrics. 

The cut and proportions are fresh and inspired by the cape. It's not easy to make a cape look modern and new, but they've managed to get it just right for this very inspiring collection.
